Mark Holweger

Mark Holweger is President and Chief Executive Officer of Banner Life Insurance Company and William Penn Life Insurance Company of New York, collectively known as the Banner Life family of companies. He is responsible for the day-to-day operations of the business, ensuring service excellence, continued distribution expansion, and achievement of its digital transformation strategy. He also serves as CEO of Meiji Yasuda Life North America Holdings Inc., the holding company of Banner Life and William Penn.

Mark moved to the United States in 2018 when he was appointed CEO of Banner Life and William Penn. Prior to that, he served as Managing Director, Partnerships for Legal & General Insurance in the United Kingdom. His distribution oversight included Life Intermediaries, General Insurance Brokers, Banks, Building Societies, and Affinities. He also held the role of Director of Broker and Intermediary for Legal & General’s General Insurance business.

Before joining Legal & General, Mark was co-founder of Coverwise.com, a P&C online international broker that now serves more than one million customers. He has also held senior director roles at RSA Insurance Group across the UK, South America, Asia/Middle East, and Eastern Europe, as well as leadership positions at AXA Insurance UK and Aviva.

Mark is an Economics graduate and Chartered Insurer with nearly three decades of experience in the insurance industry and a strong background in intermediary distribution platforms.

He serves as a Board Member of LIDMA, sits on the Forum 500 Board of Governors for ACLI, and is a Board Director of Techficient Technologies.
