The Marketing Alliance, Inc. ("TMA," "we," "us") operates the TMA Meetings mobile application and the associated web platform at meetings.themarketingallianceinc.com. This policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and your choices.
Account information: When you register for a TMA event, we collect your name, email address, company name, and professional role. This information is provided by you or by your organization on your behalf.
Authentication data: We use magic-link email authentication. We store hashed tokens and the IP address and user-agent string associated with each sign-in request for security purposes. These records are automatically pruned after 90 days.
SMS sign-in codes: If you provide a phone number during registration and check the SMS opt-in box, you may request a one-time sign-in code by text message as an alternative to the email link. Message frequency depends solely on how often you request a code — there are no recurring or marketing messages, and message and data rates may apply depending on your mobile carrier plan. We do not sell, rent, or share your mobile phone number with third parties for their own marketing purposes; it is used only to deliver sign-in codes through our SMS provider (Twilio). Sign-in codes expire shortly after they are sent and are not retained after use. Reply HELP for help or STOP to opt out of SMS messages at any time.
Biometric authentication: If you enable Face ID sign-in, a device-specific token is stored in your device's secure Keychain. We do not collect, store, or transmit any biometric data (such as facial scans). Face ID verification happens entirely on your device through Apple's authentication framework. The device token expires after 180 days.
Push notification tokens: If you allow push notifications, Apple provides us with a device token that identifies your device for message delivery. We store this token on our server and use it solely to send you event-related notifications. We do not use it for advertising or tracking.
Usage data: We collect standard server logs (IP address, browser type, pages visited, timestamps) for security monitoring and service improvement.
We use your information to provide the event experience: delivering your personalized schedule, enabling networking features, sending event announcements and session reminders, and facilitating CE credit tracking where applicable. We do not sell your personal information to third parties.
We share your information only with service providers necessary to operate the app (hosting, email delivery) and with event sponsors only when you explicitly opt in (for example, by scanning your badge at a sponsor booth). We may disclose information when required by law.
Event data is retained for the duration of the event and a reasonable period afterward for follow-up communications and record-keeping. Authentication tokens expire automatically. You may request deletion of your account and associated data at any time through the app's settings or by contacting us.
You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal data by contacting us at the address below. If you delete your account through the app, we will remove your personal data and associated tokens within 30 days.
We use HTTPS encryption for all data in transit, hashed token storage, and industry-standard security practices. Biometric credentials are stored in Apple's Keychain and never leave your device.
The TMA Meetings app is intended for professional use by adults. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13.
We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be communicated through the app or by email.
